Brand identity
Typography, Visual Language

Élan was the kind of project that recalibrates how you think about identity work. The client was a contemporary fashion label built entirely around the idea of quiet confidence — clothes that spoke through cut and proportion rather than logo or branding. Our challenge was to build a visual identity that understood that and didn't contradict it.
The first thing we did was establish what the identity could not be. No decorative elements. No illustrative marks. No colour that drew attention to itself. The brand had to function as a frame around the product, not a competing voice. That constraint shaped every decision that followed.
Spacing was treated as a design element in its own right. The grid was built around breathing room rather than information density. Every layout asked the same question: what happens if we remove one more thing? The answer was almost always that it got better.
The identity was delivered across digital and print simultaneously. Lookbook layouts, website design system, packaging, labels, tissue paper. Every touchpoint was resolved before anything went to production. The result was a brand that felt complete from day one rather than something assembled over time.

Élan launched quietly. Within three months the visual language was being referenced by other labels in the same space. That is the only metric that ever mattered to us.
